About CLNZ Books

A bookseller, not an algorithm. CLNZ Books is run personally by me, Pablo R. Castellano. When you write to CLNZ Books, you are writing to me: I read every enquiry, I source every title, and I follow every order until it reaches your desk or your library shelf.

Nearly 40 years in the professional book trade

I started in 1986 at Editorial La Ley in Buenos Aires, today part of Thomson Reuters, selling legal publications to lawyers, judges and law firms. It was there that I learned the most important lesson of this trade: a professional does not buy a book, they buy a solution to a problem. When I could no longer offer my clients more than the titles I had available, I left in 1989 and founded my own company, Castellano Libros.

For more than three decades, Castellano Libros distributed the leading Argentine legal publishers: Depalma, Abeledo Perrot, Astrea, Hammurabi, La Rocca and Errepar. In 1999 LexisNexis Argentina appointed me its official distributor for the City of Buenos Aires, a role I held until 2011, when the company was acquired by Thomson Reuters and integrated into La Ley.

In 2009 and 2010 I had my own stand at the Buenos Aires International Book Fair, representing Temis (Colombia), Fundación de Cultura Universitaria (Uruguay), Editores del Puerto (Argentina) and Marcial Pons (Spain).

In 2012 I founded CLNZ Books in Auckland, New Zealand, to take that same way of working to professionals and institutions around the world.

Through my contacts in the Buenos Aires book trade I can also locate rare and out-of-print material. Worldwide shipping is included in every listed price.

• Every enquiry is answered personally by me, usually within 24 hours. No call centre, no ticket queue.
