ICSID's Singapore office opens as investor-state filings hit an all-time high

ICSID opened its first staffed office in Asia on 26 August 2026, following the Paris office announced earlier this year — a clear signal of where caseload growth is coming from. The Centre's FY2026 statistics, released two weeks earlier, show 363 administered cases, the highest in its history, with oil and gas disputes alone accounting for a quarter of new filings.
