About the Author

Dr. Andrei I. Cucu is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Biological Sciences, Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava, and a Senior Neurosurgeon who practised until 2025 at the N. Oblu Emergency Hospital in Iași, Romania. He holds an MD and PhD in Neurosurgery summa cum laude from Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine, is board-certified in neurosurgery, and has published more than 200 scientific articles plus nine books and book chapters. He is active in the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies, the International Society for the History of Medicine, and the International Society of Iconodiagnosis, and serves as Course Director for Anatomy, Neurosurgery and Teaching Methods in Medical Education at Suceava.
