Description
Global health systems face challenges, from infectious diseases and rising chronic conditions to inequitable access to care and future pandemics. Tackling these issues requires medical breakthroughs, innovative financial strategies, and cutting-edge health technologies. By leveraging tools like digital health platforms, telemedicine, mobile diagnostics, and financing models, organizations can expand access, improve efficiency, and drive better outcomes. Bridging the gap between finance and healthcare enables more resilient systems that adapt to diverse needs across populations. This intersection of technology and finance may offer solutions to address health disparities and build sustainable, inclusive global health solutions.
Addressing Global Health Challenges Through Financial Innovation and Health Technologies explores the interplay between healthcare technology and financial innovation in the pursuit of solving pressing global health issues. It examines how emerging healthcare technology solutions are being harnessed to improve healthcare access, quality, and efficiency across the globe. Why buy this book?
Most global health titles treat financing and technology as separate problems — this volume treats them as the same problem, because in practice they are. Ten chapters move from universal health coverage financing in India, to mHealth for maternal care in developing countries, to the rise of China's biotech sector, giving academic medical libraries a genuinely cross-regional reference rather than a single-country case study. For policymakers and healthcare business leaders, the financial innovation angle — not just the technology — is what makes this useful for budget and investment decisions, not only clinical planning.
