About the Authors

Prof. Johan P. Reyneke, BChD, MChD, FCMFOS (SA), PhD, is Director of the Centre for Orthognathic Surgery at Sunninghill Hospital, Johannesburg, and has held professorships in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of the Witwatersrand, the University of Oklahoma, the University of Florida and the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Mexico. He has performed close to 9,000 orthognathic procedures over more than four decades, authored over 90 peer-reviewed papers, and served as President of the College of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgeons of South Africa.
