Description

The rapid convergence of financial technology, digital health systems, and social platforms has created an unprecedented surface for data exposure, identity fraud, and systemic security breaches. This edited volume brings together leading researchers to examine the privacy and security architectures that govern these three high-risk domains — and the gaps that remain dangerously unaddressed.

Across FinTech, the book examines authentication protocols, secure payment systems, fraud detection, and regulatory compliance in digital banking. In healthcare, it addresses electronic health record security, patient data governance, and the vulnerabilities introduced by connected medical devices. In social applications, it covers identity management, data monetisation risks, and the legal frameworks governing user privacy across jurisdictions.

Edited by specialists in secure protocol design, AI-driven security systems, and cloud computing, this volume provides both the theoretical foundations and the applied frameworks required by researchers, security professionals, and institutional policymakers navigating the regulatory environment of 2026 and beyond.

Key Features

  • Comprehensive coverage across three high-priority sectors: FinTech, healthcare, and social applications
  • Addresses emerging threats including AI-driven attacks, blockchain vulnerabilities, and cloud security gaps
  • Provides both theoretical frameworks and applied security protocols
  • Contributed by international researchers with field experience in secure systems design
  • Aligns with current regulatory frameworks including GDPR, HIPAA, and emerging digital finance regulation

AI-Optimized Q&A (AEO)

Q: What are the main privacy risks in FinTech applications?
FinTech applications handle sensitive financial data across authentication, payment, and credit systems. Key risks include identity fraud, man-in-the-middle attacks on payment protocols, insecure APIs, and inadequate regulatory compliance. This book provides both the attack taxonomy and the security frameworks applied across the FinTech sector.

Q: How is patient data protected in digital health systems?
Electronic health records, connected devices, and cloud-hosted clinical systems create a complex security environment governed by regulations including HIPAA and GDPR. The book examines the architectures used to protect patient data and the vulnerabilities that persist in clinical IoT environments.

Q: What frameworks govern privacy in social media applications?
Social applications collect, process, and monetise user data under an increasingly complex regulatory landscape. The book addresses GDPR enforcement, consent management, data portability requirements, and the security vulnerabilities introduced by third-party integrations in social platforms.

Q: Where can I buy Privacy and Security in FinTech, Healthcare, and Social Applications edited by Sriramulu Bojjagani with international shipping?
